1.cosplay コスプレ
As you might have guessed or in fact already knew that it's a word came from English.
It basically means[costume + play] where people makeup themselves totally to look like any characters from the animes/mangas/games...etc. Cosplaying trend is not only popular in Japan, but to the world like Europe, Canada, US, HongKong, Taiwan, China...or even Malaysia, people are quite obsess to cosplay. There are cosplay's events for cosplayer. The costumes are usually quite expensive if you buy it from a shop so cosplayer usually make it by their ownselves through their ability and creativity. In Japan, it is very common that we can see cosplayer not just from the events but on the street too. We have Jrock visual band cosplayer as well- where fans usually cosplay their favourite band member to lives/concert.

2.Chikan 　ちかん　痴漢　　

It can simply means 'a pervert' in Japanese. But according to my dictionary it says there's no appropriate word in English for chikan. Chikan in Japan usually appears on the train or on the street in the middle of the night especially during summer. If you see much of the Japanese mangas, you might familiar to this that they always show chikan on the train trying to pull up a girl's skirt and do the molest stuff without noticeable by other people coz train here are always so so so pack! Somehow most of the Japanese girls feel this so embarass to even stand up to protect themselves and end up letting the chikan do whatever they want. Weird huh? Oh well, for the sake of these weird girls some of the trains here have 2 or 3 compartments just specially for girls only. No MAN are allowed!!! Safe journey for the girls...

3.Manga 　まんが　漫画

This is simple. Manga is comic.

4.少年向け/少女向け　shounen muke/shoujo muke

(something) designed for boys. 少年 means teenage boys 少女 means teenage girls and -向け means made for/for/created for. So what i meant in my blog was comics which are written for boys or comics which are written for girls.

5.少年系まんが/少女系まんが shounen-kei-manga/shoujo-kei-manga

Quite similar to what is stated above. 少年-teenage boys 少女-teenage girls 系-kind of まんが-comic. So, what is here is For-Boys-Kind-Of-Comics/For-Girls-Kind-Of-Comics. For example, 少年系まんが- JUMP, ATC, Young Jump...etc (One piece, Naruto, Real...etc)少女系まんが- Flower, CLAMP, Queen, Hana to Yume...etc (Tsubasa, Holic, Nana...etc)

6.susume すすめ　勧め

Recommendation. Susume is very commonly used when you feel/think something that is good and wanting to recommend it so much to somebody.- Sushi is my susume- kinda! Whereas O-susume, with the 'O' in front simply brings out the polite form of Japanese. In Japan, the way you speak the language is very important. Politeness is the basis!

7.manjuu まんじゅう　饅頭

Manjuu is a kind of Japanese-style confectionery, made by steaming buns of sweet dough stuffed with red-bean jam. Manjuu in red and white pairs are often served on auspicious occasions. In chinese manjuu looks like 'dau-sa-pau'in white. Manjuu is white n round, that is why Mokona is being called a manjuu more than Mokona itself. In Holic we call Mokona Kuro-Manjuu(black-manjuu), in Tsubasa we call Mokona Shiro-Manjuu(white-manjuu). Got it!? =)
